Woodard Plaza is the gateway to Chicago's Avondale neighborhood. It is free and open to the public 24/7, an oasis of native plants, free performances -- and is completely maintained by volunteers from the neighborhood.
Let's put our best face forward!
We're fundraising to keep the plaza clean, weeded and in good repair year round. But it's not all work and no play, we want to activate the plaza as an outdoor cafe for our local restaurants and support programming for our arts organizations.
Woodard Plaza is managed by the Milwaukee Avenue Alliance, a neighborhood nonprofit focused on the equitable cultural and economic well-being of Milwaukee Av. between Diversey and Central Park.
