Don't forget that on Sunday December 1st at 3:00 a.m., overnight parking snow route bans are implemented on many of Chicago's arterial streets. In order to ensure that the most critical roadways in Chicago are kept open to full capacity at all times, the City of Chicago enforces a Winter Overnight Parking Ban on 107 miles of vital arterial streets from 3 am to 7 am between December 1st and April 1st, regardless of snow. The winter ban starts December 1st at 3:00 a.m.
A separate snow related parking ban exists for most other main streets and can be activated after there are at least two inches of snow on the street, no matter the time of day or the calendar date.
