City of Chicago Programs & Resources

The Department of Business Affairs & Licensing (DBA) empowers businesses to grow and succeed. DBA will provide businesses a gateway and become a primary point of contact for all city services.

Department of Planning oversees community and economic development citywide including land acquisitions, RFPs, TIF districts and community plans.

The Small Business Improvement Fund provides grants of up to $50,000 for building improvements for business located in the Fullerton/Milwaukke TIF district.

Business Assistance Organizations

Accion Chicago is an alternative lending organization dedicated to providing credit and other business services to small business owners who do not have access to traditional sources of financing.

Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is home to the Chicagoland Entrepreneurial Center and ATHENAPowerLink, a 12-month mentoring program for women business owners.
