Alderman Flores and the Chicago Transit Authority are pleased to announce upcoming improvements to the California/Milwaukee Blue Line Station. These improvements will include:
1) Replacement of the wooden floor with a new concrete floor
2) Construction of a new customer service kiosk
3) Painting of the interior walls.
During construction, the station will be closed to public access.
Starting on Monday, September 15th, the CTA will begin construction on a temporary station, which will allow passengers to gain access to the train platform. This work will be completed before the station is closed.
On Thursday, September 18th, the California/Milwauke e Blue Line station will be temporarily closed, for a period of two weeks, while the floor is being replaced. The station house is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, October 2nd.
