Cybourn Ave Bus Route Announced

According to staff at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), funding has been approved to pay for a new CTA bus route connecting Logan Square, the Addison South Industrial Corridor including the Green Exchange on west Diversey, parts of the North River Industrial Corridor, the Clybourn Corridor PMD to downtown Chicago.

The route will start at the Logan Square Blue Line station at Logan and Milwaukee Avenue, then run east along Diversey Avenue passing by the new Green Exchange building (formerly the Cooper Lamp factory) to Clybourn, southeast along Clybourn (passing the North & Clybourn Red Line station) to Orleans, south on Orleans to Chicago Avenue, then east on Chicago Avenue passing the Brown Line station at Franklin and ending at the Red Line station at State and Chicago Avenue and then returning to Logan Square.

The CTA hopes to have the bus route operating by the end of 2008.
